Global Awards Voting Terms and Conditions
The Global Awards
A judging panel consisting of experts in music, broadcasting and journalism, representing all the genres covered by The Global Awards, has selected nominees in 12 categories of awards. The artists/groups that are nominated have been played at least once in full on a Global radio station from 12 December 2018 to 11 December 2019 (inclusive).
In the first phase there are five categories of awards that will be decided by public vote. In these categories, the judging panel has selected a long list of nominees. The top five artists/groups in each category, as voted for in phase one, will make it through to phase two.
Nominees for a sixth award, The LBC Award, will be collated from the public’s suggestions in phase one of the voting. The winner in this category will be chosen by the judging panel from all the nominations.
Winners in the remaining categories will be chosen by the judging panel with due care, consideration and weight to a variety of factors.
Global reserves the right to substitute an alternative selection or voting method in its absolute discretion.
You can vote in the Global Awards by accessing a link at vote.global.com and ticking the box beside the nominee(s) you wish to vote for.
Phase one voting will open at 00.01 on 2nd January 2020 and close at 23.59 on 2nd February 2020.
Phase two voting will open at 00.01 on 5th February 2020 and close at 09.59 on 14th February 2020.
You can vote a maximum of 5 times from the same email address in each phase. You will also be able to make your nomination for The LBC Award in phase one. This is not a competition and there will be no prize.
In the event of a tie in the number of votes cast for any individual in any category, the winner will be selected by the judging panel.
If the outcome of a vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure beyond Global’s reasonable control, or because attempts have been made to manipulate the vote, Global may, in its reasonable discretion, decide either to proceed with, postpone or cancel the vote. If the vote is cancelled, winners will be selected by the judging panel.
Global reserves the right to remove or disqualify any artist, group or other nominated individual from the vote and/or from the awards, in its reasonable discretion.
Results will be announced on 5th March 2020 at The Global Awards event.
In order to participate in voting for the Global Awards, you must vote using a valid email address.
