Roman’s No Money Road Trip

Roman Faces Daunting Task Of Travelling 1000 Miles Around The UK
To Present 5 Breakfast Shows In 5 Days… With No Money

Capital Breakfast’s Roman Kemp is embarking on an epic challenge in aid of Capital’s charity, Global’s Make Some Noise. Roman’s No Money Road Trip will see Roman face the daunting task of travelling 1000 miles around the UK to present five breakfast shows in five days, but without money or the help of his phone.

Roman’s challenge was set by Niall Horan on Capital Breakfast this morning (Friday 27th September), with Niall revealing that Roman will be sent out on the road for five days to raise money for the charity. Starting Monday 7th October, he’ll travel hundreds of miles around the UK, from Scotland to Wales and then eventually back to London in time for Global’s Make Some Noise Day on Friday 11th October.

Niall also offered to donate £5000 to Global’s Make Some Noise if Roman agrees to let him tattoo the name of his new single ‘Nice to Meet Ya’ on his leg, saying:

“You’re gonna raise loads of money for Global’s Make Some Noise. I tell you what, for all this, I will donate £5000. I’ve never had a tattoo, never used a tattoo gun before, I can barely write!”

Roman is blissfully unaware of what lies ahead as his No Money Road Trip route is in the hands of his fellow Capital presenters and celeb friends of the station. He’ll have to complete challenges which will be revealed on a daily basis, and he’ll be calling on the help of Capital listeners as he attempts to make it to his next Breakfast Show in time. Nothing will be easy, and listeners can expect surprises, laughter and perhaps even some tears along the way…

Roman is raising money for Global’s Make Some Noise , which funds small charities that change young lives. Global’s Make Some Noise is a national, grant-giving charity that gives a lifeline to projects and small charities which help disadvantaged children, young people and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.

To help support small charities across the UK, donate £5 to Global’s Make Some Noise by texting Roman5 to 70766 and keep it Capital to follow Capital Breakfast’s Roman Kemp as he attempts his No Money Road Trip.

“Global’s Make Some Noise helps small charities across the UK that change young lives and I’m taking on this challenge to raise money and awareness for the amazing work they do. No one is giving anything away so I’m slightly terrified about what lies ahead but I’m up for the challenge and it’s all in aid of a brilliant cause. I’m sure our listeners will help us raise money for these incredible charities and perhaps even help me out with me a lift or two along the way!”
