Global audience on short breaks in Northern Ireland
In a recent audience insight survey, we took a trip in search of opinions on holidays and short breaks in Northern Ireland. Almost 9in10 take short breaks here with 40% doing so at least twice a year. Convenience and short travel time combines with scenic beauty as the main reasons to holiday in NI. While 2in5 often take a short break to mark special occasions such as birthdays, 30% find it helps them to escape without using too much annual leave! Food and drink experiences, visiting historic and cultural sites, visiting beaches and walking / hiking are amongst the top activities undertaken when on a short break in Northern Ireland all helping to reinforce the majority who felt there were enough activities and attractions on offer to justify taking regular holidays and short breaks here. First NI DAX Align campaign combines audio and outdoor
Running across selected geographical areas in November 2025, the campaign marks the first time DAX Align has been activated in Northern Ireland. Global celebrates industry creativity at 2025 PANI Awards
Global was proud to take part in this year’s prestigious PANI Awards, joining agencies, clients, and media partners from across Northern Ireland to celebrate the very best in creativity, design, and campaign effectiveness. As one of the key supporters of the event, Global sponsored the Best Cross-Format Campaign award within the Outdoor category – recognising outstanding strategic thinking and multi-format execution. This year’s winner was Krow for Hovis So Soft, recognised for its cohesive multi-format approach. The PANI (Publicity Association Northern Ireland) Awards are one of the standout events in the marketing and communications calendar, attracting around 500 guests from across the industry.

Late night bus service pilot launched in Belfast
Global’s bus advertising partner, Translink, have announced details of a one-year pilot for late night transport across Belfast. The pilot kicks off on Friday 28th November 2025 and will see Metro bus services operate until 2am and Ulsterbus services departing Belfast for towns and cities across Northern Ireland later on Friday and Saturday evenings. The scheme which is supported by the NI Executive aims to energise the city’s nightlife while offering a greener, safer way to travel. Commenting on the pilot, First Minister Michelle O’Neill said: “As well as improving connectivity, the scheme will also ensure people are able to return home safely after work or enjoy an evening of shopping or socialising.”

Global prepares to launch new Belfast D6 network
You may have spotted something new popping up around Belfast recently… we’re currently in the process of installing a brand-new D6 digital screen network across the city – bringing an exciting new way to connect with audiences right at the heart of Belfast. While these screens aren’t available to book just yet, we’re busy installing and rigorously testing them to ensure everything looks and performs perfectly.
