Today (Friday 27th March), Capital XTRA, the home of the biggest Hip Hop & RnB, announced that Craig David, Tinie Tempah, Lisa Maffia and Lethal Bizzle will join the station over the Easter Weekend to host four days of non-stop, old skool hits for a Capital XTRA Fully Reloaded Takeover!
Simulcast on both Capital XTRA and sister station Capital XTRA Reloaded from Friday 3rd April to Monday 6th April, Fully Reloaded on Capital XTRA will soundtrack the bank holiday weekend with wall-to-wall classics, spinning the biggest old skool Hip Hop and RnB bangers that defined the ‘90s and ‘00s, tapping into a wave of fans revisiting the era’s biggest anthems while introducing them to a whole new generation of listeners as well.
Joining Capital XTRA over the weekend is an all star line-up of guest presenters guaranteed to keep the energy high and the classic tunes coming. Taking things back to 2010, the year he dropped his iconic single ‘Pass Out,’ Rap legend Tinie Tempah rewinds to the decade he launched his career between 10:00am and 12:00pm on Good Friday by playing some of the best music the era had to offer.
Going into Saturday night, UK Grime legend Lethal Bizzle gets behind the decks from 6:00pm to 8:00pm to set things off with a ‘00s Grime and Garage special in celebration of his iconic debut single ‘Pow!’ And back by popular demand after her hugely successful Fully Reloaded Takeover on New Year’s Day, Lisa Maffia returns on Easter Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm to share more legendary So Solid Crew stories, early ‘00s nostalgia and to play tonnes of old skool classics.
And bringing the nostalgia on Easter Monday morning, Craig David celebrates 25 years of Born To Do It by playing the album in full. Sitting in from 10:00am to 1:00pm, Craig will break down how he made his iconic debut record, as well as sharing the stories that led to Born To Do It to become the fastest-selling debut album ever by a British male solo artist.
Across the entire four-day Easter Weekend, Capital XTRA will also provide listeners with a packed schedule of non-stop tunes spun by their favourite Capital XTRA presenters – including Yasser, Toni Phillips, Zeze Millz, Omah Howard, Kennedy Taylor, and more.
