Classic FM – the UK’s most popular classical music station – has announced today the appointment of Joseph Zubier as its new Managing Editor.

A former Radio Academy 30 Under 30 “one to watch”, Joseph joined Classic FM in 2022, as producer. After two successful years at the station, Joseph moved to BBC Radio, before returning to Classic FM in May this year in the role of Deputy Managing Editor. He will be joining Sally Ardis who is Senior Managing Editor for Classic FM – as well as Senior Managing Editor across HeartSmooth and Gold Radio.

Since his return to Classic FMJoseph has overseen a number of exciting projects, including an exclusive concert from Balmoral Castle, in the presence of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla, a special birthday concert to mark the 80th year of the legendary composer Sir John Rutter, and a celebration of Pavarotti at 90.

The news of Joseph’s appointment comes on the day that Classic FM celebrates 25 years of its Classic FM Live concerts, with a spectacular event at the Royal Albert Hall this evening – Classic FM Live at 25 with Viking.
