Global, the Media & Entertainment group, has acquired Riviera Radio, an English-language radio station that broadcasts live from Monaco across the principality and the South of France including Nice, Cannes, Antibes, and St. Tropez on 106.5 MHz, on DAB+ and online to listeners around the world.

Riviera Radio was founded 38 years ago in 1987 and is the only English-language service in the French Riveria, providing entertainment and news to a loyal audience as well as partnering with high-profile events, including the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix.

The station has been acquired from Grundy MediaPaul Kavanagh will remain as Managing Director. The purchase sees the station returning to one of its original owners, the Capital Radio Group, now owned by Global.
