After years of success in the United Kingdom, Global’s Make Some Noise (MSN) has expanded to the Netherlands. Make Some Noise is Global’s charity initiative. Throughout the year, multiple initiatives are set up to raise money for local charities. With Make Some Noise, we build bridges between charities and communities in and around Global’s concessions in the Netherlands. This year we are focusing on charities working to improve the lives of children and youth in the Netherlands.

October 6, 2023 – The tenth anniversary of Global Make Some Noise in the UK. The perfect time to launch this initiative in the Netherlands.

During the festive kickoff at the office, we focused on internal fundraising on behalf of Muziekids, a foundation that builds music studios in hospitals for children who are long-term sick.

Globallers organized fundraising initiatives throughout the day. From haircuts by Lin, games of FIFA against professional player Marcello, to an auction and bingo with fantastic prizes. At the end of this kickoff we were able to sign a nice amount on the check, namely: €10,000!

November 6, 2023 – Fonds Gehandicaptensport organizes an annual benefit dinner. This year’s Benefit Dinner was dedicated to “Don’t Think White, Don’t Think Black, Think Color. On behalf of Make Some Noise, Global made its Digital Out-of-Home screens available as lots during the auction. Our screens bring bright colors and vibrant images to audiences in various locations. As the lucky winner, KPN won our lot with a bid of a whopping €20,000!

November 28, 2023 – For us, the entire month of November was dominated by gift night. Together with the companies from our office building, we worked to collect gifts for Stichting Sint voor Ieder1. This foundation devotes itself to children in (hidden) poverty who do not automatically receive presents on gift night . Our canteen was transformed into a true gift house. At the end of November there were more than 300 presents for children between 1 and 18 years old. Our toppers Claire, Emma and Tom brought all the presents to the warehouse of Sint voor Ieder1, where thousands of gift packages were already wrapped by volunteers.

Dec. 7, 2023 – During our famous Christmas tree get-together, a fundraiser for Make Some Noise could not be out of the question, of course. And what’s more festive than a karaoke? One karaoke song in exchange for a donation to Make Some Noise. We asked the beautiful drag queen, Sederginne, to bring the story of Make Some Noise to life among our visitors. The karaoke caravan was named after our famous pub during the AMMA Awards called the Blue Gabber. In the Blue Gabber, the best hits were sung. Singing, we raised over €900 that night.

SIRE campaign about hope

Jan. 9, 2024 – SIRE (Stichting Ideële Reclame) launched a campaign this month about hope and points of light. The campaign emphasizes the importance of courage when discussing difficult topics and finding points of light in difficult situations. The campaign ran from January 9 to 31. SIRE chose our screens in high-traffic locations such as shopping malls, supermarkets and gas stations. On behalf of Make Some Noise, Global donated a media budget of €18,986.15 to SIRE.

valentine action

February 13 & 14, 2024 – During Valentine’s Day we bought and sold roses on behalf of Make Some Noise. With this rose action we raised a nice amount of € 1068,-. This money will be donated to Stichting Kinderhulp, an organization dedicated to families with children in the Netherlands who could use some extra financial help. With this donation they can support families in various aspects of daily life, such as school supplies, school trips, sports activities, family outings, new clothes, toys and books.
