Classic FM – the UK’s most popular classical music station – is back with its flagship classical music concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Monday 12th October at 7.30pm. With an ‘Out of this World’ theme, expect the most popular classical music inspired by space, time, magic and fantasy.
Classic FM Live with Viking: Out of this World will be packed with classical music that looks beyond the world we inhabit into the orbit of space, featuring superstar musicians and world-class soloists. Hosted by Classic FM presenters Dan Walker and Myleene Klass, the concert will be performed by the acclaimed Philharmonia Orchestra—an Official Partner of Classic FM—and conducted by Stephen Bell. The concert will end with a dramatic lights and fireworks to accompany the stunning concert finale.
The concert is sponsored by one of Classic FM’s long-term partners, Viking, a global leader in experiential travel with a fleet of more than 100 ships, exploring 21 rivers, five oceans and all seven continents, which has been presenting Classic FM Live for 11 years.
The concert will feature solo performances from one of the best-loved and most versatile opera stars of the last 40 years, bass-baritone opera singer Sir Willard White, who will celebrate his 80th birthday on 10th October 2026, Classic FM Rising Star tenor Emmanuel Fonoti-Fuimaono and acclaimed pianist Junyan Chen. The evening will feature a packed programme of ‘Out of this World’ classical music, including excerpts from Holst’s much-loved ‘The Planets’ Suite, Strauss’ iconic ‘Sunrise’ from Also sprach Zarathustra and ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ by Dukas. Elsewhere, highlights include Bizet’s ‘Pearl Fishers’ Duet’ and the finale of Rachmaninov’s mammoth Piano Concerto No.3.
