The UK’s biggest Christmas party is back with bells on as Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard is set to make a spectacular return this December. Packed with the biggest stars and the biggest tunes, Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard takes place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December at The O2. The annual sell-out festive show will also be streamed live on Global Player.
This morning (Monday 7th November) on Capital Breakfast, hosts Roman Kemp, Chris Stark, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay confirmed Coldplay, Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith, Tom Grennan, KSI, Mimi Webb, Sigala, Nathan Dawe and MistaJam & Friends ft LF System, Eliza Rose & Belters Only as the first huge names playing night one of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard on Saturday 10th December.
Multi-award-winning global superstars Coldplay will make their long-awaited return to Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard to play night one. Coldplay are one of the world’s biggest and best-selling bands, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide as well as winning seven Grammy and nine BRIT Awards. Their huge hits include The Official Big Top 40 chart-topping ‘Higher Power’, as well as their US no.1 hit with BTS ‘My Universe’. One of the greatest live acts on the planet, Coldplay will perform exclusively for Capital listeners after they were forced to withdraw from last year’s Ball due to COVID.
Lewis Capaldi will make his highly anticipated debut at a Capital Ball. The Scottish singer-songwriter’s stratospheric rise to superstardom is unparalleled, with over 25 billion global streams. His multi-platinum-selling first album ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’ – which spawned the US and UK number one hit ‘Someone You Loved’ – broke multiple records and became the biggest-selling UK album of both 2019 and 2020. The two-time BRIT Award winner and Grammy nominee made his hotly anticipated comeback in September, scoring his third number one with brand new single ‘Forget Me’. With his second album ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’ due out in Spring 2023, his Capital Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard debut promises to be epic and unmissable.
Multi-Grammy Award-winner Sam Smith made a triumphant return with their eighth no.1 single ‘Unholy’ last month. The mega-hit featuring Kim Petras has topped charts around the world, dominated TikTok trends and racked up over 200 million streams already. With their fourth studio album, ‘Gloria’, dropping in January and a UK and European headline tour confirmed, fans will have to chance catch Sam Smith at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard ahead of what is gearing up to be another massive year for the star.
Tom Grennan will also take to the stage at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard ahead of the release of his third studio record ‘What Ifs and Maybes’. The chart-topping BRIT and Ivor Novello-nominated singer-songwriter’s hits include ‘Found What I’ve Been Looking For’, ‘Little Bit of Love’ and his collab with fellow Baller KSI, ‘Not Over Yet’, which debuted at number one on The Official Big Top 40.
Hip-hop sensation, YouTuber, creator and boxer KSI will also take to the stage at The O2. The BRIT-nominated musician has almost 20 billion cumulative views on YouTube with and over 40 million subscribers. His recent single ‘Not Over Yet’ featuring Tom Grennan was one of the biggest songs of the summer, hitting the top spot on The Official Big Top 40 chart. Known for his high energy performances, KSI is guaranteed to entertain at the UK’s biggest Christmas party.
Pop singer-songwriter Mimi Webb will also play the Ball. With huge hits including ‘House on Fire’, ‘24/5’ and ‘Good Without’, Mimi has amassed over 730 million global streams and built an international following. She became the first British female artist, since Dua Lipa in 2017, to land two singles in the UK Top 15 before the release of her debut album, which is due out next Spring.
DJ and producer Sigala will raise the roof of The O2 with a high octane set packed with the biggest party bangers. His most recent hit ‘Living Without You’ saw him collaborate with David Guetta and Sam Ryder, and followed the huge summer anthem ‘Stay The Night’. His highly anticipated second album ‘Every Cloud’ is due for release early next year.
Nathan Dawe is one of the hottest acts to break out of the UK dance scene in recent years. The chart-topping DJ and producer scored a number one hit on The Official Big Top 40 with ‘Lighter’, his collab with fellow Jingle Bell Baller KSI, which went on to receive a coveted nomination for Best British Single at the 2021 BRIT Awards. His huge hits include ’21 Reasons’, ‘Flowers’ and his latest record ‘Sweet Lies’.
Capital Dance and The Capital Weekender’s MistaJam will also bring high NRG club vibes to The O2 on the Saturday night with The Capital Weekender Live with MistaJam and Friends. MistaJam will be joined by the artists behind the hottest dance records of the year. The biggest breakthrough dance act of 2022 – LF System – will treat fans to a set including their huge anthem ‘Afraid to Feel’, while Eliza Rose – the East London DJ behind the viral TikTok trending track ‘B.O.T.A (Baddest of Them All)’ – will also play the Ball. Finally Irish DJ duo Belters Only, whose hit ‘Make Me Feel Good’ went platinum earlier this year, will also join MistaJam to get the UK’s biggest Christmas party well and truly going.
