Global, The Media & Entertainment Group, has today unveiled a fresh new Autumn schedule for Capital.

Launching this Monday 10th October, the UK’s no.1 hit music brand is turning up the hit music with new shows for some of its best loved presenters and a host of exciting new signings.

Firstly, Chris Stark will make his hotly anticipated debut on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp this Monday 10thOctober. A hugely talented broadcaster, Chris Stark joins the team as Creative Executive Producer and presenter and will wake up the nation alongside Roman Kemp, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay each weekday morning from 6am – 10am.

 

Elsewhere on the Capital network, Capital’s Rio Fredrika takes the reins of the prestigious mid-morning slot (10am – 1pm) on the UK’s no.1 hit music station, in addition to her Saturday morning show (9am – 12pm). Hailing from The Capital Weekender and Capital Dance Breakfast, Rio has built her audience significantly and now takes one of the most important shows on the station.

From Monday October 24th, Capital’s Will Manning moves to drivetime, becoming the brand-new host of Capital Drive in London and Capital UK, bringing listeners the biggest tunes as they make their way home on weekdays from 4pm – 7pm as well as continuing to present The Sky VIP Official Big Top 40 on Sundays, the UK’s biggest chart show.

In other moves, Ant Payne becomes the new host of Sunday mornings on Capital (9am – 12pm), waking up listeners with the weekend’s biggest tracks, and continues to be an integral part of the Capital line up.

Fresh face Chris Ros will host a new Saturday and Sunday morning show from 1am – 5am, in addition to his existing Capital Friday morning show.

Elsewhere on the Capital brand, Capital Dance is also rolling out a refreshed schedule from Monday 10th October with a trio of new signings – Matty Chiabi, Meg McHugh and Zofia Rogers.

With Rio Fredrika moving to Capital mid-mornings, Charlie Powell takes over at Capital Dance Breakfast, weekdays 7am – 11am. Charlie will also host The Capital Weekender across Capital and Capital Dance, Saturday nights,10pm – 1am.

Another new face to Capital is Brixton DJ Matty Chiabi, who has hosted shows on Westside Radio, Foundation FM and Radio 1.  She becomes the new voice of weekday afternoons, 12pm – 4pm, on Capital Dance.

Glasgow DJ and broadcaster Meg McHugh also joins both Capital and Capital Dance.  She’ll host Monday drivetime 4pm – 7pm on Capital Dance, a brand-new weekend afternoon show (Saturdays and Sundays, 12pm – 4pm), as well as The Capital Weekender on Friday nights, 10pm – 1am, across both Capital and Capital Dance.

Last but definitely not least, Zofia Rogers joins Capital Dance, hosting The Capital Weekender on Saturday and Sunday overnights from 1am – 5am on Capital Dance.
