One of the world’s most respected journalists, Christiane Amanpour, is joining Global, the Media & Entertainment group, in a major multi-podcast partnership.

Renowned for her fearless frontline reporting and uncompromising interviews with world leaders, Amanpour will continue as the Chief International Anchor at CNN, presenting flagship programmes including Amanpour, The Amanpour Hour, and Amanpour & Company.

This deal sees Amanpour join Global’s award-winning slate of original podcasts, marking her next step into the on-demand space with a series of incisive, thought-provoking shows.

Amanpour’s first Global Originals podcast is set to launch soon, with more details to follow. It will join a line-up of chart-topping hits from Global, including The News Agents with Emily Maitlis, Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall; The Sports Agents with Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman; and cultural phenomenon My Therapist Ghosted Me with Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally.

Global produces all its original podcasts in-house. Its entertainment app, Global Player, is home to Global’s radio brands, a fast-growing catalogue of award-winning podcasts, and expertly curated playlists.
