The autumn edition of Classic FM Live took place at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall in October 2022, hosted by Alexander Armstrong & Margherita Taylor.
A spectacular celebration of the greatest music written for the silver screen, the audience enjoyed performances from Classic FM’s Orchestra in the South of England, the renowned Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO), performing under the baton of Chief Conductor Kirill Karabits with star solos from cellist Hauser, pianist Alexandre Tharaud, organist Anna Lapwood, and violinist Braimah Kanneh-Mason.
Many of the most popular film themes featured, including Star Wars, E.T., Chariots of Fire, The Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, The Godfather and 2001: A Space Odyssey, alongside the stunning ‘Melody in A minor’ from The High Pass by Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk.
