Des Clarke to walk 52 miles (Two Marathons) in
24 hours in aid of Global’s Make Some Noise

Scotland’s Heart Breakfast presenter Des Clarke is preparing to walk a vast 52 miles from Fife to Glasgow in 24 hours in a bid to raise funds for Heart’s charity, Global’s Make Some Noise.

Des’s Great Walk to Glasgow’ will see the Heart Scotland presenter walk from Inverkeithing to Glasgow in just 24 hours. On Thursday 10th of October at 6pm, Des Clarke will begin his walk at Inverkeithing, crossing the Forth Road Bridge and walking overnight to get to the broadcast centre in Glasgow on Friday 11th October in just under 24 hours, before the end of Global’s Make Some Noise Day.

Des Clarke, who hosts Scotland’s Heart Breakfast show with Jennifer Reoch, is taking on the challenge in aid of Heart’s charity, Global’s Make Some Noise, which is changing lives across the UK by funding vital projects delivered by small charities – tackling issues such as mental health, poverty and homelessness.

Joining Des on his long walk will be a group of charity service users and beneficiaries who are just some of the charities who have been helped by Global’s Make Some Noise. The charities joining Des on the walk include; Govan HELP, Paragon Ensemble, SBH Scotland, Stirling Carers Centre, Cerebral Palsy Scotland and The Yard
