Insight & Intel: November 2026
AI is becoming part of everyday life in Northern Ireland
AI tools are now a familiar part of life in Northern Ireland, according to our latest work.shop.play. audience insight survey with 44% using an AI tool daily. ChatGPT is the most widely used platform, with 58% of respondents having tried it, while almost half use AI at least once a day. People are turning to AI for practical support: 78% use it to find information or get answers, while 36% use it for work tasks or professional research. Saving time and finding information quickly are the biggest benefits. However, trust remains important. While 45% generally trust AI and 36% trust AI for simple tasks only, they still check important information, and have concerns around accuracy, privacy and misinformation. For more information, or to receive a full copy of the research, contact your Global Northern Ireland Account Manager.

Celebrating Belfast businesses with Belfast Chamber
Global was proud to join Belfast Chamber at the 2026 Business Awards earlier this month at Belfast’s ICC, to celebrate the businesses, people and ideas making Belfast such a vibrant place to do business. As sponsor of the Communication Excellence Award, we were delighted to recognise the marketing and communications campaigns creating meaningful impact through brilliant storytelling and audience engagement. Congratulations to everyone shortlisted, and a special congratulations to Victoria Square on their well-deserved win. It was a brilliant evening and a reminder of the creativity, ambition and talent across the city. Here’s to continuing to champion local businesses and doing it all again in 2027!

Halloween campaigns cast a spell across Northern Ireland
Halloween brought a frightfully good mix of campaigns to Global’s outdoor portfolio across Northern Ireland. Fanta captured attention with captivating full-motion creative on Mall D6s, while Belfast One, Derry Halloween and the Millennium Forum brought the season to life with spooky bus Supersides. Entertainment also took centre stage, with Amazon Prime’s Carrie and blockbuster movie releases including Ghosts and Clayface appearing on T-Sides. The campaigns showed the power of outdoor to build excitement around major seasonal moments. With Christmas now on the horizon, reach out to your Northern Ireland Global account manager to discuss how our diverse outdoor advertising portfolio can put your brand in front of consumers when festive planning and purchase decisions are underway.
